Ingrid Peterson, OSF
Co-author of FRAN 201: Franciscan Gospel Living in the Contemporary World
Ingrid Peterson, OSF, is a Third Order Regular Franciscan from Rochester Minnesota. She is an adjunct faculty member of the Franciscan Institute, St. Bonaventure University and has been an English professor at the College of Saint Teresa and Quincy University. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education, an M.A. in Speech, and a Ph.D. in Medieval Renaissance and Romance Literature. She has studied and taught the medieval women mystics for over 30 years and is currently working with Ramona on the early Franciscan women of the Third Order tradition. On July 15, 2000 (The Feast of St. Bonaventure), Ingrid was awarded the Franciscan medal for Outstanding Contribution to Scholarship in Franciscan Studies, given by the Franciscan Institute. She is the first woman to receive this honor. She is the author of Clare of Assisi: A Biographical Study and co-author of Praying With Clare of Assisi.
