Listed below is information regarding registration. More information about our program can be found in our Student Handbook.

The on-line registration is your official registration for class(es). When you submit your registration a "Form Confirmation" will appear on the screen, please print this form for your records. You will not be contacted unless there is a change in the schedule.

It is important students register prior to the registration deadline if at all possible. The number of registrations received during this time determines whether a course will roster or not. Courses with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled.

Student Account Information
All students at Saint Francis University are assigned a username, password, and email upon registration of the first class. The username gives a student access to view his or her bill, schedule, grades, and transcripts. Students can access this information by logging on to https://my.francis.edu/ics and clicking "Lookup My Username" under Quicklinks. Follow the directions on this page to access your student account identification.

Class Cancellation Due to Weather
When the Dixon University Center closes due to weather conditions, the announcement is made on several area radio and television stations and on the Dixon University Center website, www.dixonuniversitycenter.org.  Students may also call the Dixon University Center at (717) 720-4080.

In the event that an individual class is canceled due to weather conditions, the cancellation message will be placed on the Saint Francis University weather line (814) 472-3880 after 4:00pm the day of class.

Method of Payment:  Procedures for Payment

Tuition:

  • Payment in Full at Registration - If you are paying your tuition in full at registration, please make your check payable to Saint Francis University. The check should be sent to Saint Francis University Business Office, PO Box 600, Loretto, PA  15940. Please include your name and student id with your check.  

  • Payment by Credit Card or Payment Plan Option - If paying by credit card or paying using the payment plan option, access the Tuition Management Systems (TMS) site at www.afford.com.  

  • Alumni Refresher Option - If this option is selected, you will receive an invoice from the Saint Francis University business office, after classes start. 

  • Company Sponsored/Tuition DefermentTo be eligible for tuition deferment, a letter regarding the tuition reimbursement policy is due the first week of class. The letter must be on company stationary, include the student's name and the reimbursement policy of the company. Letters should be sent to Mr. Peter Kuhnlein, SFU Business Office, PO Box 600, Loretto, PA 15940. Letters can also be faxed to Mr. Kuhnlein at (814) 472-3886 or emailed to pkuhnlein@francis.edu. Each student will receive a Statement of Account. It is the student's responsibility to give this Statement to his/her employer at the completion of the course along with his/her grade for reimbursement. Payment must be made within 45 days upon completion of the course. If you have any questions, contact Peter Kuhnlein, Accounts Receivable Specialist, at (814) 472-2884.

  • Stafford Loan - In order to be eligible for a loan, you must be enrolled in at least six credits during the current semester. If you would like to apply for a Stafford loan or if you have questions regarding student loans, please call the Office of Financial Aid at (814) 472-3010.
     

Graduation Fee
If you indicate "yes" on the "Intent to Graduate" question on the online registration form, you will be invoiced by the Saint Francis University Business Office for the $150.00 graduation fee. This fee is be paid directly to the Saint Francis University Business Office. The fee covers all costs of graduation, including the diploma, and therefore, all students are required to pay the fee, regardless of their actual participation in graduation ceremonies.

Textbook Purchases
Textbook orders for classes may be ordered on-line by using the bookstore's secure link on the homepage http://www.francis.edu/bookstore.htm If you encounter any problems accessing this link, please email the bookstore at bookstore@francis.edu or call the bookstore directly at (814) 472-3170. The fax number is (814) 472-3045.

Withdrawal Policy
If a student is considering withdrawing from a course, it is suggested that the student speak with the instructor about the situation prior to actual withdrawal.

All withdrawals and requests for refunds must be made in writing and will be calculated according to the postmark date it was delivered to the Graduate School Office. Please Include your name, the course title, and the instructor's name. A student will receive a tuition reduction according to the following schedule:

100% Only when course is cancelled by the Graduate School Office
75% From the registration deadline to the 1st class
50% Up to the date of the 2nd class
25% Up to the date of the 3rd class

A written notice of withdrawal must be sent to the Graduate School Office. Non-attendance will not constitute notice of withdrawal. In the case of withdrawal, a grade of "W" will be recorded on the transcript.
 
Parking

Saint Francis University is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged on campus. Students are required to carry proper auto insurance as required by Pennsylvania law.

All classes are held at the Dixon University Center. Free parking is available on campus in the following lots:

  • The underground garage--entrance by Richards Hall

  • Duncan Hall--Rear lot

  • North Hall –Side lot

  • Any visitor spaces by the Administration Building

Stairs to Richards Hall will lead you to ground level and the classroom buildings.

From Philadelphia and points east of Harrisburg:

  1. Pennsylvania Turnpike to exit 19

  2. 283 north to 83 north

  3. 83 north to 81 south

  4. 81 south to Front Street South exit

  5. Proceed south on Front Street along the Susquehanna River for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on Edward Street. (The sign for Edward Street is on the right. First Union Bank is on the left at Edward Street.) Turn right onto Second Street. Proceed south on Second Street for three blocks.

From New York, Allentown, and points northeast of Harrisburg:

  1. 78 south to 81 south

  2. 81 south to Front Street South exit

  3. Proceed south on Front Street along the Susquehanna River for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on Edward. (The sign for Edward Street is on the right. First Union Bank is on the left at Edward Street.) Turn right onto Second Street. Proceed south on Second Street for three blocks.

From Baltimore, York and points south of Harrisburg:

  1. 83 north to 81 south

  2. 81 south to Front Street South exit

Proceed south on Front Street along the Susquehanna River for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on Edward Street. (The sign for Edward Street is on the right. First Union Bank is on the left at Edward Street.) Turn right onto Second Street. Proceed south on Second Street for three blocks.

From Carlisle and points west of Harrisburg:

  1. Pennsylvania Turnpike to exit 16, Carlisle

  2. 81 north to Front Street South exit

  3. Proceed south on Front Street along the Susquehanna River for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on Edward Street. The sign for Edward Street is on the right. First Union Bank is on the left at Edward Street.) Turn right onto Second Street. Proceed south on Second Street for three blocks.

From State College and points north and west of Harrisburg:

  1. 22/322 south to Linglestown Road

  2. Linglestown Road west (turn right) to Front Street

OR

  1. 11/15 south to 81 north

  2. 81 north to Front Street South exit. Proceed south on Front Street along the Susquehanna River for approximately 1 mile. Turn left on Edward Street. (The sign for Edward Street is on the right. First Union Bank is on the left at Edward Street.) Turn right onto Second Street. Proceed south on Second Street for three blocks.
