Dorothy McCormack, OSF
Dorothy teaches liturgy-based Scripture at St. Matthew's Parish, San Mateo, CA, and is Coordinator for Franciscan input and Spirituality for her Province - Sisters of St. Francis, Redwood City, CA. Prior ministry experiences include teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels, and Pastoral Associate at three Franciscan Parishes where she was involved in Adult Religious Education, Liturgy, Small Faith Communities, RCIA, and Spiritual Direction. She earned a BA in mathematics and philosophy from Mount St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles, and an MTS from the Franciscan School of Theology, GTU, Berkeley. She also received a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Institute for Spiritual Leadership, Chicago, and attended the Franciscan Challenge Program in Rome. She has served as Novice Directress for her Province and as a member of the Provincial Council. She was on the Board of the Franciscan Federation as the first Chair of Region VI from 1991-1996. She has been to Assisi several times, both as pilgrim and guide. Her passions are Scripture and all things Franciscan.
