Whether you are a faculty member trying to access electronic resources from off-campus, a commuter student working from home, or a student enrolled in a WebCT Internet-based class, the staff of the Pasquerilla Library are here to assist you.  The library is open 102.5 hours per week during the Fall and Spring Semesters.  Visit the hours page to see our complete schedule.    You can contact the circulation staff at (814-472-3160) or email circli1@mail.francis.edu

A librarian is available at the  Reference and Instructional Services Desk 53 hours per week during the Fall and Spring Semesters.   Please feel free to contact us (814-472-3161), IM a Librarian through America Online's IM service (our screen name is SFULIBRARIAN)  or email refli1@mail.francis.edu.  If you are not available during the reference desk hours, please send us an email at refli1@mail.francis.edu so that we can arrange a mutually agreeable time when we can discuss your needs.

When you phone, let us know you are calling long distance, and we will be glad to get your number and call you back.  You can also send an email to refli1@mail.francis.edu or use our Reference Request Form to provide us with a description of your needs.

"I'm having a problem connecting to a database."

When you click on a link from the electronic resources page, you will be asked to enter your patron identification information.   Type your last name and then your student bar code number.   If you have a student ID card, the bar code number is on the back.  You may have received an email from the library which included your bar code number.  If you don't have or can't find your bar code, please contact the circulation desk (814-472-3160) or email circli1@mail.francis.edu.   Once we verify that you are a currently enrolled student, we can provide you with your bar code number.

If you are having difficulty, the circulation staff may be able to assist you.   Sometimes errors are made when we enter the data.   Contact the circulation staff (814-472-3160) so that someone can check your patron record.

"How can your services help me?"

Whether you aren't sure which database to use in order to locate material for your research, or you want to know how to create a bibliography, or you have some general "how do I" question, please contact us using the methods described above.   We are glad to share our expertise!

You may also want to use the librarian created Subject Guides which provide links to resources selected by librarians based on topics.
