Goals of the TLTC
- Provide centralized leadership and operational and creative support for the effective use of information and technology resources at Saint Francis University.
- Provide leadership in exploring and maximizing the potential of emerging technologies to meet the needs of the university community.
- Provide access to information and technology resources and instructional facilities.
- Train faculty, staff, and students in basic computing skills and the effective application of information technology in teaching and learning environments.
- Provide instructional design consultation to faculty.
- Facilitate use of course management software to enhance and extend instruction.
- Facilitate faculty and professional development.
The TLTC
- Investigates new technology software and hardware that supports learning at Saint Francis University. Collaborates with various university departments and committees to develop solutions to technology challenges across the university.
- Collaborates with faculty to develop instructional applications and projects using information technology.
- Offers hands-on workshops on a wide range of technology and information topics and instructional strategies.
- Provides drop-in and phone support and training services for faculty, staff, and students.
- Provides access to online tutorials, guides, and help-sheets for “just-in-time” support.
- Teams with faculty in the development of online, hybrid and distance learning course development.
