SFU HSBC Personal Budgeting Competition
Earn $500 in cash prices with your knowledge of personal budgeting!
The second Saint Francis University HSBC Personal Budgeting competition is a unique experience for high schools students throughout the Western Pennsylvania region to gain knowledge of personal budgeting best practices and to compete for cash prizes. The competition will allow students to compete for $500 in cash by preparing their own current personal monthly budget and their own projected personal budget for 10 years in the future.
The goal of this competition program is to teach students the basic fundamentals of personal budgeting and to have student apply these skills. In doing so, we hope that the knowledge and financial literacy gained as a result of this program will benefit the students for a lifetime. This competition was made possible by a grant from the HSBC Financial Literacy Grant Program who partnered with SIFE to reach and improve the financial literacy of as many people as possible.
