David Ream, SFO
David Ream, SFO, Ph.D., is a Deacon in the Diocese of Jefferson City, Missouri, currently assigned to Diaconal Service at Mary Immaculate Parish in Kirksville, Missouri, and St. Rose of Lima Parish in Novinger, Missouri. His academic background consists of the following: B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology; M.Ed. in Education; M.Ed. in Counselor Education; M.A. in Pastoral Ministry; and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. He is also a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. David has served as an instructor at Penn State and Saint Francis College and has served on the staff of the University Counseling Services at Truman State University in Missouri. David was professed into the Secular Franciscan Order in 1988. Since then he has served as Formation Director of his local fraternity and Formation Director of the former Secular Franciscan Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. With his wife, Thérèse, he served as co-chair of the National Formation Commission of the S.F.O. in the United States from 1996-2002.
