The holidays are approaching once again and we need help in providing a Thanksgiving Dinner to the senior citizens from the local area. Each year the Dorothy Day Center and the University community hosts a dinner for those residing in healthcare facilities, senior citizen homes, and the local area. The dinner will be held on Wednesday, November 25th. The faculty and staff of Saint Francis University have been very generous in years past, and we are once again asking for support in order to provide the necessary items for this dinner. The following are needed to make this year’s dinner a success: Turkeys- We are in need of 25 turkeys this year. If you can donate a turkey, please call the Center ASAP (X3347) so that we can have an accurate estimate of how many we will be receiving. Please drop the turkeys off at Torvian on Friday, November 20th. Monetary Donations- We are working with Torvian to provide the meal for our guests. Any monetary donations received will be used to defray the cost of providing the meal. All contributions are greatly appreciated. Baked Goods-Everyone knows that holiday dinners are never complete without desserts. If you would rather bake a treat, we would happily share it with our invited guests. Please list what you would be willing to bake so that we may plan the dessert menu. Desserts may be dropped off at Torvian on or before Wednesday, November 25th. |
