 Office of Financial Aid

Current Students

To ensure that you have a smooth financial aid transition from one year to the next, please acknowledge the following steps.  Also, the following contact phone numbers can assist in answering any additional questions you may have.

  • Utilizing your Federal Pin from previous years, you can file the FAFSA.  If you misplace or forget your pin, you can visit www.pin.ed.gov and answer the challenge question that you set up when you originally applied for a pin.  Your pin will then be sent to you via email.  If you do not apply online, paper versions of the FAFSA are available in the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Complete the FAFSA.  The Federal school code for Saint Francis University is: 003366
  • Please Note: MAY 1 IS THE FAFSA DEADLINE FOR PHEAA STATE GRANT CONSIDERATION if you are a Pennsylvania resident.
  • Once the FAFSA is submitted, you will receive a Financial Aid Package from our office in June.
  • You will receive an estimated bill from the Business Office in early July.  Once received, we recommend exploring our Balance Payment Options link for ways to finance your education.
  • Complete Perkins Promissory Note in Business Office.  Every year if eligible.
  • Payment plan options available through TMS – Tuition Management Systems.  Information available by calling 1-800-722-4867.
  • Make sure balance is paid to avoid interest charges and registration holds.  Please work with Financial Aid if additional funding options are needed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Financial Aid Office

Maintaining an Academic Scholarship:

If you were eligible for an academic scholarship your freshman year, no additional forms are needed to sustain the scholarship; however, the following stipulations must be adhered to.

  • To be considered within good academic standing, students must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 by the end of their freshman year and maintain this mark throughout their academic career at Saint Francis University.  In the event that a student does not meet/sustain the required grade point average of 3.0, a letter of appeal must be presented to the Director of Financial Aid.
  • To maintain an Academic Scholarship and to continue receiving Financial Aid, students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  For SAP requirements, please view the Satisfactory Academic Progress link on the homepage.
  • To maintain an Academic Scholarship, unless authorized by Residence Life, students must either live on campus or commute from home.
