Helen is the Administrative Assistant at the Franciscan Spiritual Center at Aston, Pennsylvania, where her ministry includes offering programs and retreats in Franciscan Spirituality with an emphasis on St. Clare of Assisi and St. Francis’s Rule for Solitude. Prior ministry experiences include teaching at the elementary and secondary levels, elementary administration and pastoral work which focused primarily on adult education and catechesis. She completed her undergraduate work at Neumann College, Aston PA, and obtained graduate degrees at both St. Bonaventure University, Olean, NY and Loyola University of Chicago in the fields of theology and pastoral spirituality. In addition she holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Neumann College. Her published works include co-authoring Guidelines for the Study of St. Clare of Assisi, and an article in the anthology, Franciscan Solitude, by André Cirino, OFM and Josef Raischl, SFO. Her love of all things Franciscan not only has taken her on several pilgrimages to Assisi for study and enrichment but also shaped a sabbatical year spent exploring the contemplative dimension of Franciscan evangelical life.
