Thomas Bourque, TOR

Thomas Bourque, TOR, a Franciscan friar priest of the Third Order Regular, is currently assigned to Saint Joseph Friary, in Herndon, VA, where he is priest friar in residence at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. He continues teaching weekend courses at Saint Francis University, working with the Franciscan Pilgrimage staff, and being involved with retreat ministry. Thomas has been involved in parish ministry, Catholic education, campus ministry, adult education, and college instruction on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His academic background consists of the following: B.A. in Political Science; Master of Divinity; Master of Sacred Theology; M.A. in Educational Administration and Ed.D. in Catholic Leadership - Private School Administration. Thomas is committed to the development of lay ministry and leadership in the Church and serves as a spiritual director. He is also committed to spreading the gospel through his work in the areas of retreats and workshops. Thomas has conducted many retreats for young adults, educators, parish communities, and religious communities. He is presently a contributing reviewer of books for The Cord. He has also written several articles on the topic of Mariology which have been published in The Cord and Review for Religious.
