LORETTO, Pa. (Sept. 2, 2006) – The Saint Francis women’s volleyball team struggled at the net in a pair of 3-0 losses against IPFW and Robert Morris, respectively, at the 2006 Omni William Penn Invitational.

The Red Flash fell victim to tournament champion IPFW by scores of 19-30, 21-30, 27-30, before dropping the nightcap against Robert Morris 25-30, 28-30, 20-30. Saint Francis will be back in action 7 p.m. Tuesday night in its home opener against West Virginia.

Senior Anne Roosevelt (Plymouth, Mich. / Mercy) paced the Red Flash in the match against IPFW with 12 kills, 11 digs and 3 service aces, while sophomore Lauren Parisi (East Amherst, N.Y. / Williamsville North) pitched in with 1 ace and 11 digs.

Against Robert Morris, Roosevelt had 8 kills, 1 ace and 10 digs, and sophomore Kristin Buter (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) had 11 kills and 10 digs.
