LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 4, 2006) – Senior Anne Roosevelt (Plymouth, Mich. / Mercy) continued her career year by besting her previous single-season career digs mark in the Saint Francis women’s volleyball team’s 3-0 sweep of Quinnipiac in a Northeast Conference match at DeGol Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Flash clinched a Northeast Conference playoff berth with the 30-17, 31-29, 30-15 win, and improved to 17-12 overall, and 5-0 in the NEC. They will be back in action at 2 p.m. on Sunday when Central Connecticut State comes to DeGol Arena for another pivotal NEC match. The Blue Devils are currently 1 ½ games behind Saint Francis with a 4-2 league mark.

In 2004, Roosevelt had 397 digs before besting that figure with 401 this season with three regular season matches plus the Northeast Conference playoffs to follow. She had 14 kills, 2 aces, 15 digs and 1 block against the Bobcats. Her 1,328 career kills are just 12 shy of the school mark.

Senior Linda Dolanksy (Rahway, N.J. / Union Catholic Regional) pitched in with 10 kills, 2 aces, 6 digs and 2 blocks, while sophomore Kristin Buter (Bowie, Md. / Bowie) had 8 kills, 3 digs and 4 blocks.
