LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 20, 2009) – Saint Francis swimmer Hanna Yttring (Gothenburg, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) has been named the Northeast Conference Swimmer-of-the-Week for her performance against Cleveland State, as announced by the league on Tuesday.  

Yttring, a junior transfer from the University of Hawaii – Manoa, set two program records in individual events and was also a part of a record setting relay in her first meet with the Red Flash.  Yttring won the 200-yard freestyle in a record-time of 1:55.68.  She also took first in the 100-yard butterfly with another record of 58.04.  Yttring was also part of SFU’s record-breaking 200-yard medley relay.  

Ytrring also swam the 200-yard individual medley, earning the fifth fastest time in Saint Francis history.  Both her 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly times are the NEC’s best this season.

The Red Flash defeated the Vikings 150-110 on Saturday.  They will travel to St. Bonaventure for a 4 p.m. meet on October 24.
