The Student Government Association, or S.G.A., of Saint Francis University serves as the main branch of government for the University's student body. We are involved in many of the discussions, proposals, and changes to the University and its dealings with the students. We also serve as the primary source of funding for many of the school's recognized student clubs & organizations.
Annually, the S.G.A. views dozens of applications, and determines which student organization shall receive the Student Government Association's Outstanding Organization award. We also provide students with the opportunity to recognize a member of our University's faculty with the Student Government Association's Outstanding Educator award.
To help increase our leadership potential on campus, annually we host the S.G.A. Leadership Conference. This conference offers the entire student body many informative and enjoyable session on different aspects of leadership. There is also a nationally recognized keynote speaker for the students to enjoy and gather useful information and tips on leadership.
In order to ensure that the voices of SFU students are heard among faculty and administration, S.G.A. holds the Town Hall Meeting once a semester. At this event, students may ask hard-hitting questions directly to the University’s most important administrators and receive immediate answers.
