The Renewable Energy Center works with a variety of people and organizations to accomplish its goal of supporting community- and home-based high performance energy systems. The Center’s program consultants lend their technical expertise; funders provide financial support; the advisory board helps the Center connect to resources, think strategically, and constantly improve our services; and our partners enhance the effectiveness of our work. (we are still adding some new team members to this page. . .please be patient).

Max Scheeler is the new Coordinator for the Community Wind Project at the Renewable Energy Center.  A few of his core responsibilities through the position include, site visits and analysis, application processing, public education and outreach, landowner communication, and preparation of final site reports.  Max earned his Bachelors Degree from Penn State University's Environmental Studies program.  He enjoys anything and everything involving the outdoors including, surfing, snowboarding, biking, and hiking.  Max is very passionate about the environment and is excited to have the opportunity to have an active part in preserving and protecting it through the Community Wind Project and the Renewable Energy Center.

 

Crawford Tim Crawford is a fundraising intern for the Renewable Energy Center.  Mr. Crawford is originally from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania and is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting  from Saint Francis University. He is a pioneer in the university's semester abroad  France program.  To relive his experiences, and the experiences of current Saint Francis students, check out the France Blogs.  Now back from France, he is taking on various duties and tasks;which include, web management, graphic design, and research.   Tim's father, Dr. Richard Crawford, was the visionary behind the renewable energy center in its early stages in 2002-2003. 

Flaherty
 
Bridget Flaherty is currently the Center's Wind Power Financial Analyst Graduate Assistant.  Ms. Flaherty is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and after earning a undergraduate degree in Accounting from Saint Francis University she entered the Master's in Business Administration program.  Ms. Flaherty has put together a number of useful resources for Pennsylvania including her Cost and Electricity Generation Estimator Series available on our "Research and Publications" page.  Ms. Flaherty also helps to analyze incoming applications and inquiries for the Community Wind Project.  Her main project this spring will be the writing of the Pennsylvania Community Wind Finance Handbook which we hope to make available by mid to late summer 2009.

Advisory Board

The Center's Advisory Board is made up of regional and national industry, business, community, and academic leaders.  The Board keeps the Center's programs constantly improving and responsive to the needs of funders, partners, and clients.
