2007
Gmiter Announced as 2007 Senior Physical Therapy Student Award Recipient
(April 2007)
Diane R. Gmiter of Hopwood, Pennsylvania, was announced as the recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Senior Physical Therapy Student Award by Patricia Fitzgerald, PT, PhD, MPT, CSCS, department chair.

Two senior physical therapy students were among those honored at the Saint Francis University Athletics Awards Banquet held on Monday, April 23, 2007.

Poster Day 2007
(March 2007)
The Department of Physical Therapy held its ninth annual Poster Day on Friday, March 9, 2007. Presenters were DPT-3 students enrolled in the special topics courses as well as several interdisciplinary students from other health majors.

Inaugural DPT Class Receives 100% Pass Rate on National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
(July 2006)

The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy has recently released reports of first-time pass rates on the Physical Therapy licensure examination.   We are pleased to report that the first-time pass rate on the National Physical Therapy Examination for Saint Francis University 2006 DPT graduates is 100%.  We have a three-year average first-time pass rate of 96.08%.  This quality indicator places our program in the top tier of all accredited programs in the country!  By comparison the three-year average first-time pass rate is 82.98% for all Pennsylvania schools of physical therapy and 81.29% for candidates from all U.S. institutions taking the exam for the first time.
