Physical Therapy Program

 Physical Therapy Facilities

Stokes1   The Department of Physical Therapy is housed in the Stokes Athletics Center.  Our facility includes a classroom (Stokes 228), a classroom/lab combination (Stokes 221), a suite of faculty offices, staff offices with a reception area and a conference room (Stokes Suite 229).

Weight room   The Stokes Athletics Center also houses pool facilities that are used in a special topics course and a weight room and walking track that are utilized in an exercise physiology course.

Stokes221-01   The Stokes 221 classroom/lab combination can serve as one large open room or accommodate two separate educational events simultaneously.  This classroom/lab provides students with access to equipment and supplies at times other than during regularly scheduled classes.
Motion Analysis1   The Department of Physical Therapy research laboratory, located in East Gate Hall, supplies flexible space and additional classroom space as needed.  This facility, designated to physical therapy, houses state-of-the-art equipment such as a computerized motion analysis system (peak performance), a surface EMG system, and an under-water weighing tank. CadLab1   The cadaver lab is located in Sullivan Hall and is shared with the physician assistant program.  We are fortunate to have cadavers to use by their availability from the Human Gift Registry in the state of Pennsylvania.   The Department of Physical Therapy procures two or three cadavers per year for teaching purposes.
