Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal. Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination. Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests. Geriatric Psychiatrist needs help with nursing home based practice. Practice in a field that is very underserved. While the majority of patients are elderly, some are as young as 30. PA will need to be comfortable with Psychopathology and medical comorbidity. Ability to work closely with many medical and allied health providers a must. Rewards limited to occasional smiles, hugs and satisfaction of knowing you eased someone's pain. I am board certified in both Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine. I will help train. We will work closely together, but you will have a lot of independence. Hours can be extremely flexible. Could be ideal for someone with young family. Salary or percentage. Part time, but could be full time.
