Schedule of Courses
Fall/Spring Schedule
If you have never taken a class through the Office of Continuing Education (OCE) at Saint Francis University, let us take this opportunity to acquaint you with our program. The OCE is designed to accommodate adults who are interested in taking college level courses in pursuit of a degree or for academic enrichment. For the convenience of individuals who are employed or have family responsibilities, classes are held on evenings and weekends in Altoona, Johnstown, State College and Loretto. Adult learners in continuing education who are carrying 12 or more credits are considered full-time; those with fewer than 12 credits are part-time. With regard to the professional and personal needs of those individuals enrolled in our programs, OCE encourages adult learners to proceed at their own pace. Individuals seeking an undergraduate degree can complete a variety of associate’s and bachelor’s degrees through the OCE evening and weekend programs.
Summer Schedule
Regularly scheduled undergraduate courses are offered during the summer under the direction of the Office of Continuing Education. The classes are scheduled in one-, three-, six- and seven-week formats, as well as online, to meet the needs of both day division and evening division students who wish to accelerate their degree work, make up deficiencies, or ease their academic coursework load during the regular academic year. Summer classes are held on the main campus in Loretto, as well as at various locations in Johnstown, Altoona, and State College.
