Bachelor of Science Degree in
Organizational Leadership
Degree Completion Program
The Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (B.S.O.L.) degree was designed for the work-experienced adult with prior college-level course work. Developed to provide a convenient and effective transition into a baccalaureate degree, the organizational leadership curriculum is supported by a strong common business core following the guidelines established by various business accreditation organizations.
Individuals enrolling in the B.S. in Organizational Leadership program must be at least 24 years of age and have completed the following:
An associate degree or a minimum of 64 credits from an accredited
institution(s)
A minimum of three years documented full-time work experience
A completed application form along with an application fee and three professional letters of recommendation
Official transfer of all records of previous academic work
Organizational Leadership candidates must complete their last 30 credits of study through Saint Francis University.
Who can enroll in the Organizational Leadership program?
Any working adult who meets the basic admissions requirements is eligible for the program. Credits and associate degrees from accredited 2-year and 4-year business schools and institutions of higher education will be considered.
How many credits will transfer into the Organizational Leadership degree program?
The B.S.O.L. degree was designed to maximize the individual’s work-related and educational experiences and since the curriculum requires 32 credits of free electives, opportunities for transfer are increased. Each transfer request will be given personal attention in order to give maximum benefit to the individual. It is possible for an individual to transfer up to 98 credits of the 128 credit requirement.
How long will it take to complete the B.S.O.L. degree?
Because of the time restraints and daily challenges placed on working adults, adult learners are encouraged to enroll in the B.S.O.L. degree and to proceed at their preferred pace. For those wishing to accelerate their program, the Saturdays at Saint Francis schedule will provide opportunities to complete up to 36 credits over the course of a year. Anyone wishing to further accelerate can also register for regular evening classes.
Will the B.S.O.L. degree prepare me for further study?
The Organizational Leadership degree was designed to facilitate transition into business-based graduate programs at Saint Francis University. Because of its strong business core, graduates will be eligible for acceptance into the MBA, Human Resources/ Industrial Relations, or Educational Leadership graduate programs.
