 Bachelor of Science Degree in
Computer Systems Management
Degree Completion Program

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Management (B.S.C.S.M) degree is a degree completion program designed for the work-experienced adult with prior college-level course work.  The computer systems management program prepares students to analyze, design, develop, implement, integrate, manage, and maintain information systems and information technology.  By integrating a solid business administration curriculum and a technical and conceptual core of computer based study, adult learners will gain the expertise and knowledge necessary for successful employment in today's high tech workplace.  Eligibility requirements and criteria for acceptance are similar to those for the B.S. in organizational leadership program.

Individuals enrolling in the B.S.C.S.M. program must be at least 24 years of age and have completed the following:

  • An associate degree or a minimum of 64 credits from an accredited
    institution(s)

  • A minimum of three years documented full-time work experience

  • A completed application form along with an application fee and three professional letters of recommendation

  • Official transfer of all records of previous academic work

Computer Systems Management candidates must complete their last 30 credits of study through Saint Francis University.

Who can enroll in the degree completion program?

Any working adult who meets the basic admissions requirements is eligible for the program. Credits and associate degrees from accredited 2-year and 4-year business schools and institutions of higher education will be considered.

How many credits will transfer into the degree completion program?

The degree completion program was designed to maximize the individual’s work-related and educational experiences and since the curriculum requires 32 credits of free electives, opportunities for transfer are increased. Each transfer request will be given personal attention in order to give maximum benefit to the individual. It is possible for an individual to transfer up to 98 credits of the 128 credit requirement.

How long will it take to complete the B.S.C.S.M. degree?

Because of the time restraints and daily challenges placed on working adults, adult learners are encouraged to enroll in the B.S.C.S.M. degree and to proceed at their preferred pace. For those wishing to accelerate their program, the Saturdays at Saint Francis schedule will provide opportunities to complete up to 36 credits over the course of a year. Anyone wishing to further accelerate can also register for regular evening classes.

Will the B.S.C.S.M. degree prepare me for further study?

The B.S.C.S.M. degree was designed to facilitate transition into business-based graduate programs at Saint Francis University. The strong business core contains required study for eligibility into many graduate programs both at Saint Francis University and other accredited colleges and universities.
