Saint Francis University to offer new programs for fall semester
Saint Francis University is pleased to announce it will offer four exciting new programs of study to begin in the upcoming fall semester. The new programs will help to provide students with opportunities in competitive fields as well as broad prospects for the future. The new programs include: Gaming/New Media Design and Production, Applied Mathematics, Arts & Letters, and Healthcare Management.
Gaming/New Media Design and Production is a degree that encompasses the next generation of both web and entertainment technologies. In partnership with Harrisburg University of Science and Technology students will be provided with a solid foundation in cutting edge technologies, significant design experiences and development of skills putting creative ideas into practice.
Applied Mathematics, a broad field that has grown to include a variety of subjects, will prepare students for graduate study in applied math as well as many other different fields. Applied mathematicians work in fields such as the federal and state governments, the military, financial services, scientific research, and academia.
Arts & Letters, an interdisciplinary major designed for students seeking to understand the multidimensional features of society and the human experience. Courses explore the connection of ideas related to health, politics, economics, religion, culture, history and more. The Arts & Letters major has graduate school, professional, and general tracks.
Healthcare Management is a new concentration and minor that prepares students for management careers within the extensive industry of United States health care. The program provides students with an in-depth knowledge of macro-level health care policy challenges and issues, health care economics, best contemporary management and marketing practices in the healthcare management field, health care information systems, special ethical and legal issues facing health care managers, and the critical nature and complexity of health care strategy and policy decisions.
