Admission Criteria

Bachelor of Science in Health Science
Degree Completion Program

Applicants must:

Be Navy Independent Duty Corpsmen

 

 

Be at least 24 years of age

 

 

Submit a letter of recommendation from Director, Department Head or Commanding Officer

 

 

Submit official transcripts from:

1.  Navy Medicine registrar (A and C schooling)

2.  SMART transcript including the summary form

3.  Other academic institutions attended.

In order for the academic advising office to develop your academic plan, all transcripts requested above must be received. 

Specific directions on how to request transcripts are located in the adjacent column.

 

1.  To obtain Navy Medicine  Transcripts (A and C schooling):  

A faxed request must be sent to Navy Medicine Registrar, Barbara Rosenthal

Information to include: Name, social security number, schooling you have attended (i.e. Hospital Corpsman Basic, Surface Force IDC, etc...), where the transcripts are to be sent to, your phone number, and your signature.

2.  To obtain official SMART Transcripts and summary form:

 Please check with the institutions that you have attended to determine how to request your transcripts.

 

 

 

 

Application Deadlines:

November 15, 2009 for the Spring 2010 enrollment

April 15, 2010 for the Summer 2010 enrollment

August 1, 2010 for the Fall 2010 enrollment

Applications must be complete by the above listed dates in order to register for courses. Saint Francis University must have received your completed application, letter of recommendation, transcripts and application fee to qualify in order to be processed for enrollment in the corresponding semester.

Have a cumulative QPA/GPA from all course work equivalent to 2.0 or 72.5

 


Complete the online application including essay.

 

 

Submit the non-refundable application fee of $30.00

You will be prompted at the end of the application to submit payment: check or money order made payable to Saint Francis University, credit card or PayPal.

 

  Note:

An academic plan will be developed once all transcripts have been received.  If students have a question in relation to their academic plan, please contact the Program Coordinator at the Office of Advising and Retention, Megan Gallagher oar@francis.edu .


Admission to the program is done a rolling cycle. Students will be eligible to register for courses once all admission requirements have been met and an admissions decision has been granted. See application deadlines above, specific to the semester you wish to enroll in.

Applicants will be notified of an admissions decision approximately 3-5 weeks after the application and all supporting documents are received.
