The National Youth Business Conference

General Information

The National Youth Business Conference (NYBC) will be held Thursday, July 9, 2008 - Sunday, July 12, 2008.  For complete details, visit the NYBC website at http://www.thenybc.com.

The National Youth Business Conference (NYBC) is dedicated to the concept of young people inspiring young people. Getting students to think “outside the box” about ideas that need nurturing, and through a team work approach, helping to bring these ideas to fruition, while using sound businesses practices.

The three day conference will allow high school students the opportunity to interact with other people their own age from around the country and share their interests of working in the business world or starting their own business.

The mission is to inspire and motivate young business students. The curriculum includes guest speakers from the business world, team projects, real life scenarios, and a variety of other interactive experiences and activities. NYBC changes the way the student think about business.

The NYBC is a very unique event. While working in groups, one of the scenarios and one of the most important of the exercises will be the New Business. Students are given 3 days to come up with a business idea and present it to a Venture Capital Panel. The business plan the panel finds to be the best will be funded by the NYBC with a check for $5,000 to actually start the business.
