What is needed for admission into the MBA Program?
A student needs to complete an application including two essays and a $30 application fee along with two letters of recommendation. An offficial undergraduate transcript(s) along with the GMAT scores are also required for admission into the program. All admission materials are to be sent to the Saint Francis University, Graduate Schdool Office at PO Box 600, Loretto, PA 15940. Once all the admission materials are received the student's file is submitted to the Admissions Committee for acceptance into the program. The student will be notified in writing of the Committee's decision.
Can I take an MBA course without completing all of the admissions materials?
Students can take up to six credits as a non-degree candidate, provided that their official undergraduate transcript(s) has been received by the Graduate School Office.
What is the deadline for admissions? Can I begin my MBA studies any semester?
SFU has a rolling admissions; students can enter the program in the Fall, Spring or Summer semesters.
Financial Aid?
Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford loans are available to students taking six credit hours or more a semester. A student must be officially accepted into the program before he/she can receive aid. The Office of Financial Aid at the University will assist students in applying for these loans (814) 472-3010.
What is the GMAT examination?
The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is a computerized aptitude test that measures general verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills. It is designed to help graduate schools of business assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. The GMAT is required of all SFU MBA candidates. Official scores must be sent directly from Pearson-VUE. Your GMAT score must be less than five years old at the time of application. When are most of your courses scheduled?
All courses are held in the evenings. In the Fall and Spring semesters, classes are held once a week for fifteen weeks. During the summer, classes are held twice a week for six weeks. There are weekend options available most semesters.
