Curriculum Model
The MBA curriculum consists of 9 required (27 credits) and 3 elective (9 credits) courses for a total of 12 graduate classes (36 credit hours excluding the basic core). A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 must be maintained throughout the program to graduate. Students have five years from their initial enrollment to complete the program.
The MBA Curriculum includes four areas:
The Basic Core: These undergraduate courses can be waived based on a review of an undergraduate transcript of work already completed.
The Integrative Core: Required courses.
The Specialization/Elective Area: Required courses. Students may choose courses from a free-standing list of electives, or specialize by taking three courses in a particular area.
The Policy Area: Required courses. These courses are the capstone of the program which allow students to integrate their knowledge of the functional areas of business with a study of ethical, political, and social concerns. In addition, students receive thorough training in writing, speaking, and computer skills throughout the program.
BASIC CORE (12 credits of undergraduate work)
These courses can be waived if already completed with a "C" or better.
