 Course Offerings

Registrations for Fall 2008 will begin on Monday, June 30, 2008. (MEDL students must enroll for their MBA/MHRM courses through the Graduate Business Programs department.) Please note: the tuition rate of MBA/MHRM is different from the MED program rates.

On-line registration is your official registration for class(es).  When you submit your registration a “Form Confirmation” will appear on the screen, please print this form for your records.  You will not be contacted unless there is a change in the schedule.

It is important that students register prior to the registration deadlines if at all possible. The number of registrations received during this time determines whether the courses will roster or not. Courses with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled.

Withdrawal Policy:
All withdrawals and requests for refunds must be made in writing and will be calculated according to the postmark date it was delivered to the Graduate Education Department. Textbook sales are final. There are no refunds for textbooks. A student will receive a tuition reduction only according to the following schedule:

100%  Only when courses are cancelled by the Graduate Education Department
75%    From date of registration to the date of the first class
50%    Up to the date of the second class
25%    Up to the date of the third class

A written notice of withdrawal must be sent to the Graduate Education Department. Non-attendance will not constitute notice of withdrawal.

Student Account Information:
All students at Saint Francis University are given a user account. Every Saint Francis University student is provided with an email account and online access to transcripts, schedules, report cards and bills.

To access your student account username, log on to http://localweb.francis.edu; click on the icon for Online Student Information across the top; click on username lookup in the middle of  the bottom of the page. Instructions are given on this page on how to access your student account identification. 

Course Descriptions: 
A detailed list of all courses offered through the Graduate Education program; including Master of Education, Master of Educational Leadership, Master of Education-Reading, School Principal Certification, Special Education Supervisory Certification, Reading Specialist Certification, and Superintendent/IU Executive Director Letter of Eligibility.

Graduate Assistantship:
Graduate Assistantship opportunities are available in many departments across campus. If you are interested in an assistantship to assist you with graduate school, contact the Career Services Office for an application and information, (814) 472-3019.

Academic Advising:
We value our students and recommend that each student check with the department at least once during the school year concerning their program to ensure that they are on target with their course selections. Please feel free to call if you have any questions.

Textbook Ordering:
Books may be ordered or reserved on-line by using the Bookstore secure link TEXTBOOK ORDERING. If you encounter any problems accessing this link please e-mail the campus bookstore at  bookstore@francis.edu or call the bookstore at (814) 472-3170. Tuition Deferment for Those Students who are School District Sponsored:
To be eligible for tuition deferment, a letter regarding the tuition reimbursement policy is due the first week of class.  The letter must be on school district letterhead, include the student's name and the reimbursement policy of the company.  Each student will receive a Statement of Account.  It is the responsibility to give this statement of account to his/her employer at the completion of the course along with his/her grade for reimbursement.  Payment must be made within 45 days upon completion of the course.  If you have any questions, contact Ms. Sandy Dusack, Accounts Receivable Specialist, at (814) 472-2884 or sdusack@francis.edu
