TEGA CAY, S.C. (March 17, 2007) – The Saint Francis University women’s golf team stands in 14th place out of 16 teams after day one of the rain-shortened Winthrop Shamrock Invitational. As a team, the Red Flash shot 369 on the day, one stroke behind 13th-place Belmont Abbey College and three strokes behind 12th-place Longwood. The entry from Elon University paced the field, shooting 323.
SFU’s Megan Schaeffer turned in the team’s top performance, finishing the day tied for 24th place overall while shooting an 85. Samantha Milosh stands in a tie for 39th place with an 88.
Rounding out the Flash were Lisa Kocin (T-61, 94), Stephanie Switzer (T-80, 102), and Katelyn Waghorn (86, 106).
