FARMVILLE, Va. (Apr. 3, 2007) – The Saint Francis women’s golf team matched its first round score of 340 on Tuesday to finish the three-round Tina Barrett/Poplar Hill Invitational in 13th place. The Tournament concluded on Tuesday afternoon at the Poplar Hill Golf Club in Farmville, Va.
Junior Samantha Milosh (Aliquippa, Pa. / Center) paced the Red Flash with a 82-85-81-248 to finish tied for 33rd.
Methodist College won the event with a 310-322-312-944, and was followed by Gardner-Webb (314-309-329-952), Old Dominion (310-325-323-958), High Point (309-316-335-960) and James Madison (324-317-321-962).
Saint Francis finished 13th with a 340-352-340-1032. The Red Flash will return to action Apr. 14-16 at the Mount St. Mary’s Spring Invitational.
Senior Megan Schaeffer (Richland, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon) and freshman Lisa Kocin (Parma, Ohio / Padua Franciscan) finished tied for 53rd place. Schaeffer shot a 85-86-90-261, while Kocin fired a 84-86-91-261.
Freshman Katelyn Waghrorn (Basking Ridge, N.J. / Ridge) took 63rd with a 89-95-89-273, and junior Stephanie Switzer (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver) was 68th with 94-106-80-280.
