ANN ARBOR, Mich. (May 12, 2007) – Senior Megan Schaeffer (Richland, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon) shot an 87 on the final round of play to lead the Saint Francis women’s golf team to a 21^st place finish at the NCAA Central Regional, which was played at the University of Michigan Golf Course.

Southern California won the regional with a 283-288-298-869, while SFU carded a 342-338-356-1036.

Schaeffer finished in 103^rd with a 82-85-87-254.

The Red Flash automatically qualified for the NCAA Regionals by winning their second straight, and seventh overall, Northeast Conference title earlier this month.

Freshman Lisa Kocin (Parma, Ohio / Padua Franciscan) carded a three-round 84-84-87-255, junior Samantha Milosh (Aliquippa, Pa. / Center) shot a 87-82-90-259, and junior Stephanie Switzer (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver) fired a 89-87-92-268.
