Saint Francis Women’s Golf Team Remains in 21st Place After Day 2 At NCAA Regionals
COLLEGE STATION, Texas. (May 12, 2006) – Sophomore Samantha Milosh (Aliquippa, Pa./Central) shot a second-round 85 to lead the Saint Francis women’s golf team during the second round of the NCAA Central Regional at the Traditions Club on the campus of Texas A&M University.
Milosh has a two-round 83-85-168, which puts her in a tie for 88th, and the Red Flash sit in 21st place with a two-round total of 355-361-716.
Duke leads the team race with 294-300-594.
Saint Francis will tee off in the third, and final, round beginning at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday.
Senior Mary Kate Williams (Somerville, N.J./Immaculata) improved by two strokes over her Day 1 score. She fired a 16-over-par 88 to give her a two-day total 90-88-178.
Junior Megan Schaeffer (Richland, Pa./Eastern Lebanon) shot a plus-20 and sits at 88-92-180, and sophomore Stephanie Switzer (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) finished with a 96 for a 92-96-188.
