LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 5, 2006) – Saint Francis University junior Samantha Milosh (Aliquippa, Pa. / Center) was rewarded for her second place finish at Bucknell last weekend by being named the Northeast Conference’s Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week.
Milosh, the reigning NEC Champion, finished second at the Bucknell Fall Classic by firing a final round 76 on Sunday to rise three spots on the leaderboard. Milosh concluded the two rounds (77-76-153) just two strokes off the pace of individual winner Teri Schlang (Bucknell).
Saint Francis finished the tournament sixth out of 17 teams. The Red Flash carded a season-best round of 330 after shooting 338 on Saturday to jump two spots and into sixth place with a two-round 668. Saint Francis will wrap up its fall schedule by competing in the William & Mary Tribe Classic on Saturday and Sunday, at Kiskiack Golf Course.
