KUTZTOWN, Pa. (April 20, 2007) – The Saint Francis University women’s golf team stands deadlocked with Lehigh for first place after the day one of competition at the Kutztown University Spring Invitational with a team score of 339. Kutztown stands in third place with a team score of 346.
Saint Francis was paced by freshman Lisa Kocin (Parma, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) who shot an 82 (40-42) on the day. Kocin is one stroke of the pace set by Kimberly Snyder of Muhlenberg College (81 (40-41)).
Senior Megan Schaeffer (Richland, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon) is in fourth with an 83, junior Samantha Milosh (Aliquippa, Pa. / Center), freshman Katelyn Waghorn (Basking Ridge, N.J. / Ridge) is tied for fifth with a round of 84, and junior Stephanie Switzer (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver) is tied for 32 with a 99.
Round two will be completed on Saturday.
