LEWISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2006) - The Saint Francis Men’s Golf Team stands in third place in the 15-team field after the first 36 holes of the Bucknell Golf Invitational.  At the end of day one the Flash trail second place Bucknell (Blue) by seven strokes and leader Rider by 18.

 Freshman Mike Magalski (Spring Grove, Pa. / Spring Grove) led the way for the Red Flash firing a one under par 69 in the first round and a one over par 71 in the second.

 Magalski is tied for second in the individual standings trailing Rider’s Tyler Brewington by one stroke.

 Backing up Magalski’s composite 140 score are junior Steve Foisy (Repentigny, Quebec / Academie Les Estacades) at 148 (76-72), senior Nick Wheeler (Ingersoll, Ontario / Ingersoll Collegiate) at 149 (72-77), junior Matt Gowdy (London, Ontario / A.B. Lucas) at 152 (75-77) and senior Craig Alvaro (Saint Thomas, Ontario, Canada / Parkside Collegiate) at 156 (79-77).

 The third and final round of the Bucknell Invitational begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
