LEWISBURG, Pa. (Oct. 1, 2006) – Junior Samantha Milosh (Aliquippa, Pa. / Center) fired a final round 76 on Sunday to rise three spots for a second place finish to help lead the Saint Francis women’s golf team to a sixth-place showing out of 17 teams at the Bucknell Fall Classic.
Milosh, who is the defending Northeast Conference individual champion, finished with a two-round 77-76-153, two strokes off the pace of individual titlist Teri Schlang (Bucknell). The Red Flash carded a season-best round of 330 after shooting 338 on Saturday to jump two spots and into sixth place with a two-round 668.
Bucknell finished first (316-316-632), Lehigh was second, Siena finished third and Youngstown State and Rutgers tied for fourth place.
Saint Francis will wrap up its fall schedule by competing in the William & Mary Tribe Classic next Saturday and Sunday, at Kiskiack Golf Course.
Milosh was followed by senior Megan Schaeffer (Richland, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon) in 19th place at 83-82-165, freshman Lisa Kocin (Parma, Ohio / Padua Franciscan) in 25th (86-82-168) and freshman Katelyn Waghorn (Basking Ridge, N.J. / Ridge) in 63rd (92-90-182).
