HAMDEN, Conn. (Oct. 22, 2006) – The Saint Francis women’s field hockey team registered four shots on goal, but surrendered three goals in each half, in a 6-0 loss at Quinnipiac on Sunday.
The Red Flash dropped to 1-13 overall, and 1-5 in the Northeast Conference, with the loss. They will close out their regular season with a pair of home conference matches next weekend. Saint Francis will play host to Rider at 7 p.m. Friday, before entertaining Monmouth on Senior Day at 12 p.m. Sunday.
Sophomore goalkeeper Erin Reifsteck (Battle Creek, Mich. / Saint Phillip) stopped three shots in the first half. Senior goalkeeper Kristen Onto (Point Pleasant, N.J. / Point Pleasant) stopped three shots in the second half.
Ann Marie Mangano had a hat trick with three goals for the Bobcats. Megan Dahle, Jackie Barton and Jillian Carroll also scored goals.
