"Healing Talk"
Peer support for grieving young adults
The DiSepio Institute, in partnership with Home Nursing Agency, offers a peer support group entitled “Healing Talk” designed specifically for young adults who have experienced a significant death (parent, sibling, grandparent, close friend, roommate, other relative, etc.) This program, open to people ages 18 to 30, provides a safe environment where grieving young adults can discover they are not alone in their grief by interacting with others who have encountered similar experiences. Details:
- Open to students, employees, general public
- No cost to participate
- Held the first and third Wednesdays of each month beginning Sept. 16
- Time: 6:30 to 8 p.m.
- Group is on-going....start any time
- Held in the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness on the University's campus (room 211)
- Safe, confidential environment where you can interact with others who have encountered similar experiences
- Facilitated by specially-trained staff and volunteers.
