The DiSepio Fitness Center has announced its programming schedule for the Fall 2009 semester.  Whether you would like to lose weight, get stronger, or just get away for a little while, we have a variety of programs to fit your needs.  Our programs are open to our campus and neighboring communities.

All classes are subject to change.  Scroll down for program descriptions and directions on how to register.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Zumba: Zumba fuses hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system designed to be FUN and EASY TO DO! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body.
Cost: $30 Members (8 Week Session) $40 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Self-Defense: This course is designed to help individuals become competent at personal defense and aware of the issues that affect their safety. In addition, a self defense course must promote practical, simple techniques that can be applied to multiple situations.

Muscle Conditioning and Toning: This course will provide a fun and creative way to get yourself in better shape and motivate you to stay on a steady workout plan. Participants will work in small groups, and workouts will be adjusted according to an individual’s physical ability.
Cost: $30 Members (8 Week Session) $40 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Middle Eastern Belly Dance: Bellydance is an exciting Middle Eastern dance, handed down generation to generation from ancient times to present. This dance includes both fast and slower rhythms, body isolations, and fast raveling steps. In this class you will learn all the elements of the dance and more so you can make up your own routine and develop your own style!
Cost: $20 Members (6 Week Session) $30 Non-Members (6 Week Session)

Boot Camp: Are you ready to get a full body, high intensity, circuit training workout. If so this is the class for you. It will combine basic strength training exercise with high intensity cardio intervals for a fat blasting, muscular toning workout.
Cost: $40 Members (8 Week Session) $50 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Kick Boxing: This is a great workout that promotes muscular endurance, cardiorespiratory fitness, joint mobility, and fun stress relieving moves. Could you really ask for more?
Cost: $30 Members (8 Week Session) $40 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Noontime Express: Looking to fight the up and coming holiday bulge, then stop in at lunch for a high intensity fat BLASTING workout. The moves include abdominal exercises, plyometric movements, various squats/lunges, a few basic step movements, and core strengthening exercises. This will be an action packed nonstop hour of FITNESS FUN!
Cost: $30 Members (8 Week Session) $40 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Body Sculpting: Enjoy weight training, but not sure if you are performing the movements correctly? Join in our motivational and educational body sculpting class to increase your lean muscle mass, increase your resting metabolic rate, and have the toned fit body you’ve always wanted!
Cost: $30 Members (8 Week Session) $40 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Basic Step: This class will incorporate all of the basic movements used in advance step classes without the memorization of choreography. Basic doesn’t mean easy in the fitness world only in the academic world. If you need a Friday break from thinking, stop in for a GREAT basic, but intense workout.
Cost: No Charge- Members (8 Week Session) $30 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Hip Hop: Hip hop your way through an hour of high-energy dance set to pop and hip-hop tunes, by the end of the 8 week session you will be able to perform an entire dance routine!
Cost: $20 Members (8 Week Session) $30 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

Beginners Yoga: Experience the mind/body connection through a series of postures, creating a continuous flow, accompanied by deep breathing. Yoga focuses on internal strength, postural integration and radiant health. All levels welcome.
Cost: $20 Members (6 Week Session) $30 Non-Members (6 Week Session)

Aerobics: Low impact aerobics with basic choreographed routines. Format consists of warm-up, 30-40 minutes of cardio exercise, abdominal exercise, and stretching. Beginners to intermediate are welcome.
Cost: No Charge- Members (8 Week Session) $40 Non-Members (8 Week Session)

About DiSepio Group Exercise

  • If you are new to a class, you are encouraged to introduce yourself to the instructor. This is a great time to share your goals with the instructor and to share any special concerns that the instructor should know about.

  • To be considerate of the other individuals in the class, please do not bring cell phones into the Group Exercise Room.

  • At the end of the class, please return all of the equipment you utilized to the proper storage area.

  • We recommend that you bring your own towel and water bottle, as these are not provided at the classes.

  • We encourage all group exercise participants not to arrive late or leave early from a class, since each class includes a warm-up and cool-down. T his is to facilitate your body’s preparation and recovery from the exercise that you will be participating in. If you need to leave early from a class, please notify the instructor prior to the start of the class.
