DiSepio Fitness Center Rules
Failure to abide by the rules of the DiSepio Fitness Center could result in loss of membership.
General
- Be courteous and respectful of others.
- Members must have an approved membership form on file.
- Children under the age of 17 are not permitted in the facility.
- Phones are for emergency use or official business only.
- Tobacco, in any form, is prohibited.
- Swearing, grunting, loud noises, abusive language, inappropriate behavior, and vandalism will not be tolerated.
- Pick up your towels, water-bottles, magazines, etc. when finished.
- Be prepared to vacate the Fitness Center at closing time.
- No food or beverages (except water) are permitted.
Clothing
- Jeans, cut-off shorts, sandals, and flip-flops are not permitted in the Fitness Center.
- Full sleeved t-shirts must be worn at all times (No tank tops, sports bras, or cut-off shirts permitted.)
- Shirts with offensive wording are prohibited.
- Shoes must be clean and dry.
Equipment
- Consult a Fitness Center staff member with any questions regarding equipment or starting a training program.
- Allow others to ‘work-in’ or take turns on the strength equipment.
- Do not monopolize several pieces of equipment in the Fitness Center while others are waiting.
- Do not drop weights on the floor.
- Ease the weights into positions on the machines; do not allow them to slam down.
- Return and rack weights when finished.
- Do not place the weights on vinyl benches.
- Wipe off equipment when finished.
Locker Room Policy
Lockers are to be utilized on a first-come, first-serve basis. Members are not able to reserve a locker.
- Do not place or leave any items on the floor of the locker room.
- Respect the shared changing area and be aware of personal space and belongings.
- Be cautious of water on the floor and slippery locations. Please report any problems in the locker room or shower area to the Fitness Center staff.
- Lockers must be cleaned out by the end of the day. Locks left at the end of the evening will be cut and contents removed. Items may be claimed at the Lost and Found at the Welcome Desk on the ground floor. Unclaimed items at the end of each month will be donated to the Dorothy Day Center.
