Red Flash Track & Field Athletes Compete at NCAA East Regional Meet
GREENSBORO, N.C. (May 30, 2009) – Select members of the Saint Francis track & field teams competed at the NCAA East Regional Meet on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro this past weekend.
Denis Eradiri (Sofia, Bulgaria/Vladislav Gramatik 73) had the best Red Flash finishes of the day, grabbing 13th in the long jump with a distance of 7.18 meters and taking 10th in the triple jump with a jump of 15.42 meters.
Anna Hoffman (Enon Valley, Pa./Mohawk) took 31st in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:11.20, coming in 11 seconds faster than her seed time. Teammate Christin Bridge (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine Richalnd) earned 25th in the discus throw, finishing her season with a throw of 36.31 meters. Bridge also competed in the shot put, taking 28th with a toss of 13.08 meters.
In the men’s 1,500-meter run, Christopher Behre (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) finished 33rd with a time of 3:58.07. Christopher Mills (Pikesville, Md./Western Tech) also competed in the distance events, placing 31st in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:35.93.
