Red Flash's Magalski Earns All-NEC Honors

Loretto, Pa. (May 12, 2009) – Saint Francis golfer Mike Magalski (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) has been named to the All-Northeast Conference First Team, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Magalski finished the 2008-09 season with a 73.84 stroke average and a top-10 outing in each of his six events this season.  During his junior campaign, the he displayed a one under 215 (69-72-74) at the Conference tournament to tie for third place. Magalski also logged a pair of sixth-place finishes, including the Colgate Invitational (78-74-152) and the IUP Invitational (76-69=145).

This is not the first time he has been honored by the NEC.  Magalski was named the league’s Golfer-of-the-Week for the week of April 4, 2009.  He received the same honor as a sophomore, earning the nod for the week of April 16, 2008. 

The Red Flash men’s golf team took fifth place at the NEC Championships in Champions Gate, Fla.
