Red Flash Men Take Ninth at Lafayette Invite
EASTON, Pa. (April 5, 2009) – Led by Mike Magalski (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria), the Saint Francis men’s golf team had one of it’s best outings of the season, taking ninth place at the Lafayette Invitational in Easton, Pa., on Sunday.
The five Red Flash golfers combined for a score of 316-309-625, 49 over par. Lehigh took the top team honors with a score of 311-281-592, just 16 over par. Justin Martinson was the top individual, shooting 73-72-145.
Magalski finished in tenth place, shooting 75-74-149. Dylan Holwell (Calgary, Alberta/The Edge School for Athletes) also finished in the top 20 for the Red Flash, shooting 77-75-152 for a 16th place finish.
Vincent Adams (Broisbriand, Quebec/John Abbot College) finished tied for 21st with a score of 75-79-154, and Joey Amelia (Chatham, Ontario/Chatham-Kent Secondary) shot 89-81-170 to finish 94th. Tyler Straub (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) finished a spot behind Amelia with a score of 90-81-171.
