Saint Francis Announces Television Coverage, Time Changes For Red Flash Basketball Games
LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 5, 2008) – The Saint Francis men’s and women’s basketball teams will play in front of a regionally televised audience a combined four times during the 2008-09 season, which tips off on Friday, Nov. 14.
The Red Flash men’s basketball team will play three games on FSN-Pittsburgh and Madison Square Garden Network (MSG), while the women’s team will play on those same two stations once during the season.
First-year Saint Francis men’s basketball coach Don Friday, and his squad, will make their 2008-09 television debut on the new floor at DeGol Arena. The Red Flash will play host to St. Francis-NY on Saturday, Dec. 6, in a game that has been changed from a 7 p.m. to a Noon start. The contest will be broadcast live on MSG, and will then air on FSN-Pittsburgh on tape delay at 8 p.m. that night.
Due to the men’s game against the Terriers being moved to Noon on Dec. 6, the Red Flash women’s game will move from 4 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Both the Red Flash men’s and women’s teams will play on regional television on Jan. 24 when they travel to St. Francis-NY. The women’s game will air live on MSG at 2 p.m., but will be on tape delay on FSN-Pittsburgh at 6 p.m. The men’s game will be shown live on both stations at 4 p.m.
The Saint Francis men will play its final television game of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 7, at Wagner. The game will air live on MSG at 4 p.m., but will be shown on tape delay at 9 p.m. on Feb. 9.
