Tiffani Selhorst begins her initial season as an assistant coach with the Red Flash women’s basketball program after spending the two previous seasons as a Graduate Assistant Coach on Sylvia Crawley’s staff at Ohio University. Selhorst will serve as the academic support and alumni liaison, while also overseeing community outreach, film exchange, strength & conditioning, and team travel, as well as the honorary coach program.
She will also assist in recruiting, scouting, practice planning and game preparation.
At Ohio University, Selhorst was responsible for coordinating team travel, team equipment, and the team’s special events, while also serving as a liaison with the school’s sports information department.
Before joining the Bobcats, she was the Oakwood Junior High School Basketball Coach from 2004-06, while also serving as a Graphics Design Intern for Athletes in Action. She has also been head coach of the Dayton Lady Hoopstars (2001-03) and the AAU Sweetshooters (1999-2001). Selhorst spearheaded the Sweetshooters’ AAU program, and proceeded on to coach the Hoopstars, who went on to a fifth-place finish at nationals in 2002.
While at student at Wright State University, Selhorst was the President of the Union Activities Board (2002-03), and also served on the Student Organization Budget Committee, the Student Union Advisory Board and was an advisor to the Marketing Committee of CQI Board. She received the Emerging Student Leader Award in 2002 and 2003, as well as the Student Union Katherine W. Morris Award in 2002.
Selhorst received her B.S. in Business Administration from Wright State University in 2004, and her M.S. in Recreation and Sport Sciences from Ohio University in 2008. She is a native of Ottawa, Ohio, where she graduated from Ottawa Glandorf High
