Saint Francis Kick Starts Season on the Road in Florida;
Travels to Annapolis to Take on Naval Academy

West Palm Beach, Fla./Annapolis, Md. - The 2008 Saint Francis women's lacrosse team overcame some early season adversity after dropping their first two games from their schedule at Longwood University (Sun., Feb. 17) and the Naval Academy (Tue, Feb. 19) and traveled to West Palm Beach, Florida, for some preseason training before their first tilt of the season against the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks on Sun, Mar. 2 at 10:00am at Lake Lytl Park.

The Red Flash rescheduled their game against the Naval Academy for Tue, Mar. 4, 4:00pm in Annapolis, Md. at Jack Stephens Field.  The originally scheduled game would have been Navy's first ever Division I collegiate lacrosse game for their women's squad.  Navy took down Longwood University, 21-10, on Sat., Feb. 23 for what ended up being their first-ever Division I win.  The Midshipmen will butt heads with Niagara University on Sat, Mar. 1 for their second game.  The Saint Francis - Navy bout pits the first meeting ever between the two squads.

Saint Francis will return home to host the Niagara University Purple Eagles on Sat., Mar. 8 at 1:00pm on DeGol Field for their first home game of the 2008 docket.
