LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 12, 2008) – Saint Francis University director of athletics Bob Krimmel announced on Tuesday that head women’s volleyball coach Scott Gleason has submitted his letter of resignation to the university, effective June 30, 2008.

Gleason has served as the head women’s volleyball coach for the past seven years, compiling a career record of 80-148. He led the Red Flash to a 19-14 overall record, and a 7-1 mark in the Northeast Conference, on his way to being named the league’s Coach-of-the-Year in 2006. Saint Francis finished 11-23 overall, and 4-4 in the NEC this past season.

“I thank Scott for his work as our women’s volleyball coach and wish him great success in his future endeavors,” Krimmel said. “In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Scott has also served as director of our fitness room. His willingness to serve the department will always be appreciated at SFU.”

Saint Francis University will begin its search for a new head women’s volleyball coach immediately.
