Two SFU players named to NEC all-tourney team

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Nov. 3, 2007) – Two Saint Francis University players have been named to the 2007 Northeast Conference Field Hockey All-Tournament Team, the league announced Saturday.

Junior goalkeeper Erin Reifsteck (Battle Creek, Mich./Saint Phillip) and senior defender Leigh Ann Conroy (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) received the honor to cap a record-breaking season for the Red Flash which culminated with its first-ever NEC tournament berth.

Reifsteck made eight saves in SFU’s, 3-0, semi-final loss to eventual-champion Lock Haven and Conroy registered a shot for the Flash while leading a fine defensive effort that shutout the high-flying Eagles offense for the first half of Friday’s match.
