Flash drop tough 1-0 decision at Rider
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (Oct. 14, 2007) – Two days after recording the first-ever road win in program history, the Saint Francis University field hockey team fell just short of a second, dropping a 1-0 decision at Rider on Sunday afternoon.
Junior goalkeeper Erin Reifsteck (Battle Creek, Mich./Saint Phillip) made five saves as the Red Flash dropped to 3-11 on the season and 3-2 in the Northeast Conference.
Junior Belen Albanes (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody) led the offensive charge for SFU firing half of the team’s four shots on goal.
Saint Francis returns to action on Sunday, Oct., 21 when they pay a visit to Robert Morris.
