Red Flash Men’s Golf Team Takes 13th at Bucknell Fall Invite
LEWISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2007) – Senior Matt Gowdy finished three strong rounds of golf to help lead the Saint Francis men’s golf team to a 13th-place finish at the Bucknell Men’s Fall Classic.
Gowdy carded a 74-73-74-221 to finish tied for 12th individually. The Red Flash had rounds of 303-300-314-917 to finish 13th as a team.
Sophomore Mike Magalski placed 25th with a three-round 72-75-79-226, while freshman Joey Amelia took 61st with a 80-74-82-236. Senior Steve Foisy finished 66th by carding a 80-79-79-238, and sophomore Patrick Finlan took 75th with a 77-78-90-245.
Bucknell won the event with a three-round total of 867.
SFU will return to action next Sunday and Monday at the St. Bonaventure Leo Keenan Invitational.
